The cap d'Agde is a seaside resort which gathers numerous atmosphere, with 4 styles of destinations: the cap d'Agde, Grau d' Agde, the city of Agde and the Tamarissière.

The city of Agde, a few kilometers from the Cape of Adge, is one of the oldest town of France that is why it can be considered as aLanguedoc heritage jewel. The architecture and the stone buildings surprise because of its black color, this stone results from the volcano of Agde (basalt) ... the reason why this historic city is also called the Black Pearl !

By following the left bank of the Herault river, you arrive on the Grau d'Agde, a fishermen's charming typical village. On the other side of the bank, the bicentenary pine forest of the Tamarissiere allows a shaded and peaceful break at the water's edge (classified natural heritage).

If you are looking for activities, go to the Cap d'Agde which is a very young station, created in the 60's, after the government's decision to develop the mediterranean coastline. It has been rewarded for its architecture with the label "Heritage of the XXth century" but also its naturalenvironment. It gathers the main facilities and activities of all kinds, theme parks, in particular the important naturist village. On foot or bike, everything is possible !

With 14 km of coastline, you will find the beach which suits you among 9 fine sand beaches in Cap d'Agde, 3 in Grau d'Agde and one in Tamarissière. They are all made of fine sand and lined with green spaces.

The Grau d'Agde beaches are close to the center of the village and the one of Tamarissière extends along the pine forest, with an area for kitesurfing.
The Cap d'Agde beaches are accessible by pedestrian paths, large and equipped, they are ideal for families (Rochelongue and Richelieu beaches). On the east, you will find the naturist beaches (Galion, Meridienne and Paralia beaches).

Sporting activities are organised on the beach for school holidays (July and August).
