Ciotat is a city of the department Bouches-du-Rhône, situated 30 km from Marseille. It is in a bay in a in crescent-shaped, with the Cap de l' Aigle on th west which you can recognize by its Beak of the Eagle (striking peak).

Fateway of the National park of Creeks, the city offers wonderful marvels in the sea but also on land. The heart of the National park extends over the cities of Marseille, Cassis and la Ciotat ; we find the creeks of Mugel and Figuerolles on the west.

Fishing town, Ciotat possesses four ports: Old port, Marina, Port of the Capucins and St Jean's Port(Bearing). The city center is organized around the old port but the city is quite vast enough ; in the East, 7 km of coastline where there are sandy beaches, whereas the creeks and coves are on the west, nearby the Cap de l'Aigle.

With 7 km of coastline, la Ciotat proposes many choice between sandy beaches (Lumière, Capucins, Cyrnos) and creeks and coves.
Among them, two are specific: the Lumière beach, certified Tourism & Handicap and non-smoker, and the Capucin beach, where there is a zone reserved for animals.
