La Grande Motte is a seaside resort situated 20 km from Montpellier, near Le Grau-du-Roi (in the southeast) and Mauguio Carnon on the west. Two ponds line the city, the Gold pond and the pond of Ponant.
Known for its singular architecture, the Grande Motte is inspired by the pre-Colombian pyramids, it obtained for this reason the label of Heritage of the XXth century. Numerous buildings are considered real works of art. Also green city, committed in the sustainable development, la Grande Motte counts 70 % of its territory of green spaces and natural zones.
Several districts distinguish themselves in the station, each of them representing a particular symbol : le Levant, which corresponds to the city center, le Couchant, situated on the West after the port and the Ponant, situated at the East, facing the pond of Ponant.
La Grande Motte counts 4 beaches of sand beaches which extend over 7 km of coast, for those who prefer private beaches, you have the choice among ten ! Numerous aquatic activities are proposed for the children as for the adults : impossible to be bored !
