Le Lavandou is one of pearl of the department of the Var, at the foot of the massif desMaures between Hyères and Cavalaire-sur-Mer.
Otherwise called "the city of dolphins" or "the station of 12 sands", this fishing village stands out by its typical side and its still protected natural environment. The landscapes are particularly exceptional with the Golden islands which are facing Le Lavandou ; Levant Islands, Port-Cros and Porquerolles ! Discover a fauna, a flora and unique seabed, by foot or by boat : it is a total escape.
Le Lavandou has the particularity to count several districts, rather distant that is why and we can consider it as small villages. In the East towards Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, Le Lavandou Pramousquier is 9 km from the city center, Cavaliere corresponds to Cavaliere's cove, Aiguebelle then Fossette which is 3 km from the center of Lavandou. Saint-Clair is the last district before arriving in Le Lavandou (at its western extreme the Anglade's beaches).
It is not harmless if Lavandou is nicknamed the station in 12 sands because beaches are a part of its exceptional natural heritage. Very diverse, beaches have various sands, certain with equipment, for families or sportpersons whereas others are a little wilder and distant.
You will certainly find what you are looking for among Lavandou's 12 beaches certified by 3 labels.
