Veritabale small fisher's village, Piriac-sur-Mer is in west of Loire-Atlantique to extrem tip of peninsula of Guérande, from 5 min to La Turballe's port and from 20 min to La Baule.
It has been its charm and its natural, but also dynamic !
Not far salt marshes of Guérande, fishing ports of La Turballe, or Croisic, Piriac-sur-Mer is one of the most beautiful villages in France.
Its name dates back from the 7th century by the king of Vannes "Pen Kiriak" meant "bad tip", fishing was since become principal economic activity of Piriac.
Particularly dynamic on summer, this seaside resort is especially popular, with outsiders tourists or French people. It has good atmosphere, its wild coasts, its activities (catamaran, kite, kite-surf,...) and high spirits of its inhabitants!
Very festive, restaurants, bars and hotels are many in the village centre.
The city hall, very active, organize a lot of events, shows, marketplace on day or on night, fireworks, like great craft market on summer, or the autumn festival in ocotber.
Piriac-sur-Mer, its coastal location and its dynamism make a city where it feels good to live !
Turned to the sea, Piriac-sur-Mer has 11 kilometres of coast, at travel with on foot or bicycle, reveal all the its glory and landscape diversity of southern Brittany.
We can see a lot of beaches, public and easily accessible like the beach Saint-Michel, other hidden in cliff more difficult locations, like the Point of Castelli, other like Lérat
