Located in the middle of Guisane valley, Villeneuve la Salle (also called Serre Chevalier 1400) is a ski resort with 2 distinct profil.
The oldest part, located behind national road is charming and traditional. It is mainly made of chalet and village house. Notice that ski runs are too far to be reach by walking. You will have to use a free shuttle service provided by resort.
The newest part is very stretched and modern. It is located close to ski runs (3 ski runs departure area can be found, Casse du Boeuf, Aravet and Pontillas). This part is made of large residences and buildings.
The largest ski area of the southern french Alps offers 101 ski runs and 250 kilometers of slopes.
You will be free to ride under the sun (Briancon city claims to have 300 days under the sun each year!) and between Melezes forest.
Ecrin national park proximity provides amazing landscapes at the ski area summits.
