Biarritz is situated in south-west of France in the Basque Country.

Today, Biarritz is a surfer paradise ! Let's not forget Biarritz attracted for a long time importants people of the 19th century. The city and seaside resort owe a lot to the second empire of France and the attachment of Empress Eugénie, the wife of Napoléon III. British and Spanish Sovereign also made of Biarritz one of them favorite destination.

Biarritz has a lot of infrastructures, whether sportive with surf or another classic sports like rugby, sport very appreciated on the south-west. Other activities like restaurants, bars and hotels, like the world-famous "Hôtel du Palais" the five-star luxury hotel, you will can easily see when you take a walk on the beaches paths ! Of course, arts and culture venues are many in all city.

Beaches of Biarritz are generally of fine sand. Certain are better conserved than others, even if they are all concerned by the tourist passage, but do not worry, they are still charming ! Fanatic of surf you will have a lot of different spots for you training !

Beaches of Biarritz are touristic, but the advantage is that they are all differents ; certain propose kids club like on the Grande Plage, others pleasant spots for surfing in the best condition, others with exceptional view on west coast, others are more posh or more quiet.

We advise you discover the boardwalk along the Grand Plage to go to the lighthouse . The beaches are more or less close to the city center, you can easily find restaurants, bars or sporting activities.

Les plages, les bus qui desservent toutes les heures et même la nuit. Les restaurants

I disliked...
Compliqué de circuler et se garer en voiture dans le centre ville il vaut mieux favoriser le vélo et le bus. La vie est assez chère (ex. : 3 verres d'alcool = 32 euros)
