In Provence, Six-Fours-les-Plages is a western city of the Var between Toulon and Sanary sur Mer. It is one of the most vast cities because it gathers 120 hamlets.
Real sporting and entertaining destination, you will find numerous activities to be practiced : bike, riding, theme park and park of adventure, but also aquatic activities such as paddle, windsurfing board and dive ! Magnificent landscapes must be discovered : the archipelago of Embiez which is known thanks to its owner Paul Ricard, the Gaou peninsula where you can picnic quietly, the coastline from the Cap Negre to the Cape Sicie towards Seyne-sur-Mer.
Very picturesque, Six-Fours-les-Plages is marked by the historyand the traditions : the celebration of the famous fish soup (bouillabaisse) in the port, the fort of Six-Fours, the Collegiale church Saint Pierre, the chapel of Pepiole and the chapel Notre Dame du Mai on the top of Cap Sicie.
With a 19 km coastline, Six-Fours-les-Plages is not outdone !
Sandy beaches, pebbles, gravel or creeks : you just have to choose. You will find mainly beaches of pebbles on the archipelago of Embiez, at the exception of 2 sandy beaches. By going bak up along the coastline, beaches alternate between the sand and the gravel.

La cadre, plages et pinèdes
I disliked...
Pas assez d’activités à Six-fours-les-plages même. Il fallait souvent faire 20 min de route (jusqu’à Bandol, Sanary, Toulon) pour avoir de beaux restos en bord de plage, des marchés qui valent le coup, ou des activités le soir. Les plages étaient également remplies d’algues à Six-fours. Pas non plus de rue avec des boutiques souvenirs ou avec des produits régionaux (très peu)
